Everything a club needs to run an in-person, consignment-style live auction: from the first member sign-up to the final seller payout.
Before the auction
Members, sellers and lots
- Members join your organization with a code or an invitation, then register for the event
- Sellers enter their items with photos, a description and a minimum bid
- Lot numbers are assigned for you, and never reused
- An online catalog members can search and browse before the night
Printing
Tags and bidder cards
- Lot tags with a QR code to scan and a barcode on a tear-off stub
- Large, easy-to-read bidder cards, four to a page
- Print on an ordinary printer at home or at the club
- Tags for walk-in items on the night
On the night
Runners, projector and the room
- Runners open a lot by scanning its tag with a phone camera or a Bluetooth scanner, or by typing its number
- A warning before accepting a price under the seller’s minimum
- A projector page that shows each lot and its result
- A closing screen with your logo, your message and an optional paid / due board
Checkout
Buyers out the door
- Clerks see exactly what each buyer owes, and what each seller is owed
- Record payments in several methods, including card payments taken on your own reader
- A paid ticket to show at the pickup table
- Buyers see what they won and what they owe on their own phones
After the auction
Books that balance
- Count the cash box against what was recorded
- Seller payouts with fees and donations already worked out
- Reports, including a balance sheet for your treasurer, and a download of everything
- Seal the event when you’re done, so the records can’t change
For organizers
Your club, your rules
- Your organization’s name, logo and colors
- Fee settings as a default for the club, adjustable for each event
- Event roles for volunteers: lead, clerk and runner
- Your data kept separate from every other organization’s
What Gavel Harbor doesn’t do
No online bidding. Bidding happens in the room, with an auctioneer, the way club auctions have always worked. There’s nothing to police and no bidding war by phone.
No card processing. Gavel Harbor records payments; it doesn’t take them. Use the card reader your club already has; Gavel Harbor never handles your money.
